ADDITIONAL PROCESSES
At Densen Group we understand the value of customer service and are constantly looking for opportunities to add value. Adding additional services like heat treatment, machining or assembly can reduce administration, overhead costs, provide more control and visibility as well as reduce the supplier base.
HEAT TREATMENT
Many materials require specific heat treatment to achieve desired mechanical properties, such as hardness, tensile strength or ductility or simply to normalise the grain structure after the casting process. Types of heat treatment used are as follows:
- HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing)
- Vacuum heat treatment
- Annealing
- Solution annealing
- Normalising
- Harden and tempering
- Case harden
- Induction harden
- Carbonitriding
ASSEMBLY
Dean Group are able to offer assembly options at source in China adding tangible value to our casting supply service.
- Rivet castings together
- Fit bearings, springs, split pins etc
- Weld
- Fit together with other proprietary parts
SURFACE TREATMENTS & FINISHES
A variety of surface treatments and finishes can be applied to improve the appearance of the finished part, to improve the corrosion resistance or the alloy’s mechanical properties. These include but are not limited to:
- Painting
- Powder coat
- Plating:Chrome, Nickel, Electroless Nickel, Zinc and more
- Anodizing
- E-coatingElectro polish
- Mechanical polish
- Mirror polish
- Brush polish
- Grit blast
- Vapour blast
