  • Definition of Machining

Machining is the process of changing the external dimensions or properties of a workpiece by means of a mechanical device.

The work process is the basic unit that makes up the machining process. A process is a (or a group of) workers, on a machine tool (or a workplace), on the same workpiece (or on several workpieces at the same time) to complete that part of the process in succession. The main characteristic of a process is that it does not change the object of processing, equipment and operators, and the content of the process is completed continuously.

Typical equipment for mechanical processing

lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, planers, boring machines, drilling machines, special machine tools and so on. At present, with the development of science and technology, the current CNC equipment has basically replaced the original ordinary equipment, and in the future, super-precise CNC equipment will become the mainstream.
